“Approaching Eurythmic Therapy with curiosity, I have been surprised and impressed by the extent of its value. There are, indeed, many such merits; yet the true wonder arises when considering that all of them emerge from an exercise so subtle and adaptable. Whilst I am sold on the intrinsic efficacy of the therapy, much of its success relies on Katherine’s skill in maintaining a positive, secure space, while promoting a dynamic and often unconventional approach to wellbeing.
Naturally, much has been said regarding the importance of physical activity for everyday cognitive and emotional health. Yet too often, therapies based on this premise (as the immediate focus) are liable to simple dismissal. “Go for a walk because your body needs oxygen” is a sentiment with undeniable truth, but far less practical utility. This invites a cutting observation: what if a patient does not want oxygen?
Amongst those confronted with chronic physical ailments or emotional afflictions, there is a sweeping tendency toward disinterest in outwardly life-affirming activities. In this way, to the dispirited, ‘more oxygen’ only signifies an extension of the shelf-life of misery. In such cases, we would do well to reposition our attention, cutting to the centre of Being itself. Subsequently, I find increasing justification for the application of non-verbal therapies—granted that they do not substitute words for fluff.
Eurythmy under Katherine is one such ‘unfluffy’ approach. That is not to say that sessions are rigid or dry. On the contrary, there have been moments when one feels the air of childhood. Indeed, it is that childlike quality of ‘exploration without self-consciousness’—the willingness to participate without shying away from one’s psychic nakedness—that is so necessary in today’s atomistic society. Here, if willing to shake off embarrassment and give oneself to the process, one finds a therapy capable of capitalising the ‘s’ in ‘self’.
It has been remarkable to experience just how close we are to an inner reserve of balance, fluidity, and strength. It seems merely to await the attention provided by Eurythmic exercises. Notions of Space, Nature, and Motion are no secrets; yet, in observing their veneration within the Eurythmic framework, I have come to appreciate how superficially they are applied in daily living—and how fatally they have been neglected apropos the Self. The substantial depth and range of exercises are well positioned to illuminate the broad scope of Being and to address the variation of personal deficiency across the patient pool.
More personally, I have found Eurythmy to be tremendously grounding. I have employed eurythmic ideas and practices throughout much of my time outside of sessions. This has been of such benefit that, in moments of distress, even simply imagining the exercises has provided a welcome sense of inner clarity and perspective. Crucially, such clarity has not arisen because “Eurythmy is good for me and so I should do it.” Instead, the statement that forms is: “I am. And Eurythmy speaks to the essential nature of that existence.”
Through Eurythmy, I have encountered a solid foundation from which to draw and which I can embrace—independent of circumstance or desire. More than this, I have learned a constructive means to channel and reframe neurotic inclinations. Following my engagements with Katherine (who truly teaches with professionalism, grace, and heart), I can confidently report a deeper sense of balance, awareness, and purpose. For that, I am forever grateful. I hope that others may share a similar experience in the future.”

“From my first session of Eurythmy Therapy I was amazed to experience a greater sense of energy in and around me; it was palpable to me. Throughout the series of sessions my therapist demonstrated and described the movements and gestures to me in a way that enabled me to practice confidently and with enthusiasm. I have been keen to work with the exercises she has given me at home since it helps me to feel stronger, more relaxed, centered and also more connected. Whilst resting after the practice it is as if my life force has been given a massage. I feel very lucky to have had this experience, thank you Katherine.”

From my first session of Eurythmy Therapy with Katherine, I was amazed to experience a greater sense of energy in and around me; it was palpable to me.
Katherine demonstrated and described the movements and gestures in such a way that enabled me to practice confidently and with enthusiasm. She often described the movements for me in images, that I held in my mind’s eye, so giving me a greater sense of what I was aiming for. She also supported me by working alongside, when needed. I have been keen to practice the exercises at home since it helps me to feel stronger, more relaxed, centered and also more connected. Katherine allowed for a rest time at the end of each session and it always felt as if my life force had been given a massage. I’m very grateful to have had this experience and I would thoroughly recommend Eurythmy Therapy with Katherine.
